Installation

The lamp arrives ready to assemble and can be set up right away. The light source is already included in the delivery. You will find all the information you need in the installation guide.

Switching on and off

The light can be switched on and off using the light switch.

Dimming

The luminaire is not dimmable. As non-dimmable LEDs are installed, it is not possible to convert them to dimmable by replacing the transformer.

FAQ

1 Is the VELARA TRIAC dimmable?

Not out of the box, the VELARA has no integrated TRIAC interface. With a TRIAC-dimmable E27 bulb, however, it can be dimmed using a TRIAC wall dimmer.

2 Are light bulbs included with the VELARA?

No. The VELARA is delivered without light sources. You need E27 bulbs. Dimming is possible with dimmable bulbs and a suitable wall dimmer switch. You can get suitable bulbs from us – just write to support@neona.store.

3 How far down can the VELARA be suspended?

The suspension height of the VELARA can be adjusted between 80 and 200 cm.

4 Is the VELARA smart home compatible?

No interface of its own – but you can use a smart E27 bulb and control the VELARA with it.

5 Does the lamp need a power connection?

Yes, the lamp must be connected directly to the mains. The transformer is already built in. The lamp is NOT battery- or solar-powered, but requires a power outlet.

6 Can luminaires with IP20 be used in the bathroom?

Lights with protection rating IP20 may only be used in the bathroom outside the protected zones. This means they are not suitable for direct use in the shower or above the bathtub. In dry areas, for example in the middle of the room or on the ceiling, they can however be used. For added safety, we recommend lights with at least protection rating IP44 in the bathroom.

7 Can I mount the light offset to the power connection?

Our luminaires do not have an additional outlet for a cable duct in the wall or ceiling plate as standard. They are designed to be mounted directly on the existing power connection.

If your power connection is not exactly where you want the luminaire to be, you can always drill a hole in the wall or ceiling panel of the luminaire to run a cable duct and mount the luminaire in an offset position.

Please note, however, that we do not accept any warranty for subsequent drilling. In addition, the luminaire cannot be exchanged after such a modification.

8 Is there a money-back guarantee?

You have a 30-day right of return with us.

Return policy: In the event of a complaint, we will of course cover the return costs for you and refund the full amount.

As we are a young, self-financed company and already bear the shipping costs to you, unfortunately we cannot also cover the costs of a regular return. If you send your lamp back within 30 days, you will receive the refund amount minus the return shipping costs.

For a stress-free return process, you can simply register your return via our returns portal. There you can keep track of the current status of your return at any time.
