Kitchen

Modern kitchen lighting is based on different light types, which can be combined ideally.

Here's an overview:

Ceiling lights: for bright general lighting

Ceiling lights for the kitchen come in modern and innovative variants. Kitchen ceiling lights provide even light across the whole room. They are available in our NEONA shop in different designs – from purist to extravagant.

Pendant lights: stylish highlights above the kitchen table

Pendant lights set accents – as decorative and at the same time functional elements above the dining area, the kitchen counter or the kitchen island. You can place our elegant, stylish designer models, for example, 60–80 cm above the kitchen table to create a cosy atmosphere.

An example from the NEONA range is the CAECILIA, which combines modern design with innovative LED technology. But our models ARES, OLARA, RIVA or URANOS are also perfect as a modern kitchen light that catches every eye.

Targeted lighting for work surfaces:

Recessed spotlights and spots are perfect for lighting work areas precisely. Built-in models can be installed directly in the ceiling or wall cabinets and guarantee optimal lighting conditions when cooking.

Tip: Our exceptionally flexibly adjustable wall light POLARIS adapts individually to every situation and lights the areas in your kitchen exactly the way you need it.

LED kitchen lights: energy-efficient and long-lasting

Our kitchen lights with LED bulbs reduce power consumption by up to 80% compared to incandescent bulbs and offer innovative, flexible lighting options (warm white, neutral white).

They are dimmable, energy-efficient and have a long service life. Ideally, choose LED for your kitchen lamp to protect both the environment and your wallet.

Choosing the right light in the kitchen has a big influence on the atmosphere, mood and functionality. Warm white or cool white – every light colour creates a different mood and suits different areas and tasks.

Note the difference:

• Warm white (2,500–3,300 K): Creates a cosy, inviting atmosphere – ideal in the dining area.
• Cool white (over 5,300 K): Promotes concentration and is perfect for work areas.

Warm white: cosiness for the dining area

Warm white light (2,500 to 3,300 Kelvin) creates a cosy, warm atmosphere and is therefore particularly well suited to the dining area in the kitchen.

Warm white kitchen lamps make food look appetising and create a relaxed environment in which you feel at ease.

Cool white: optimal light for worktops

Cool white light (over 5,300 Kelvin) has an energising, concentration-boosting effect and is therefore particularly well suited to work areas in the kitchen. It provides optimal illumination as kitchen lighting and makes detailed tasks easier when preparing food.

A good lighting concept includes the following steps:

Step 1: Assessment

• Description: Determine the size of the room, work surfaces and interior style

Step 2: Define the function

• Description: Decide whether you want task, ambient or accent lighting

Step 3: Choose your lights

• Description: Pick suitable kitchen lights, e.g. ceiling lights, pendant lights, spots or wall lights

Step 4: Planning & installation

• Description: Position the lights and have them professionally installed

Among other things, make sure to avoid cast shadows and glare so that you always get perfect lighting conditions.

New features make kitchen lamps today smarter and more user-friendly:

• Color-changing function: Adjust the lighting mood flexibly – from a warm white ambience to an invigorating daylight white.
• LED technology: Modern LED kitchen lamps save electricity effectively and are long-lasting.
